CLICK THE TITLE TO SEE PHOTOGRAPHS. This city is amazing for many reasons. My dear friend Sarah tells me it is the home of many internationa NGOs, due to the Zapatista issues in Chiapas. There is also an emphasis on textiles. So, through street vendors, non-profit cooperative, state organizations, and invited artisans, one can see the exquisite range of indigenous textiles from the region. There are many more positive things to say about San Cristobal. For one, the city is wired with wifi everywhere. This is not what this post is about.
